Download and install the new IQXP version. Re-boot the computer after installation of the IQXP Program. This insures the proper system registration of any new dll's either in the DTN Client or the IQXP Program.
Note: Your current IQXP Program setup, portfolios and symbols are not affected if you are installing a new version of IQXP over an old one. It is not necessary to un-install the old version unless directed otherwise in the install process. The current configuration, portfolios, and symbol entries are preserved when new updates are installed.
Major changes in Version 1.71:
- The F3 Alert window now has a tab section that lets you select from a list of sounds so that you can customize all alert sounds. You can save the configuration and also reload the default settings. The new alert sound list contains over 30 new 'wav' files - a simple click on a highlighted file lets you hear the alert sound.
- The alert sound was converted to run using DirectX in the last version. This version uses DirectX too but has been modified so that frequent trade alerts don't add creating high volume levels. I recommend that depending on the trade volume threshold do not set a long playing sound to a high repitition alert. It turns it into a blur for trades that are just milli-seconds away.
- The sound alerts for several of the global symbol alerts has been improved.
- Minor internal bug fixes and other enhancements.
- New Expire Date - IQXP Subscription Service starts in Janurary 2009.
- Subscription fees are: $300 semi-annual and $500 for annual subscriptions.
- A month-to-month option for $55 / month - auto pay with CC is coming.
- The trial version runs for a month.
- To insure uninterrupted running of the program contact David by email or phone.
For first time useers of the IQXP Program: The initial program installation comes with several portfolios populated with various symbols to illustrate operation. If per chance you use a dial-up connection then reduce the symbol count to 50 or less to reduce bandwidth issues. Also, for slow speed connections turn off the back ground history update - this is located under F10 Program Options in the IQXP Program. The beta versions of The QXP Program self expire - this is to ensure operation and evaluation of newer versions.
New Features: Contact me for any new features that you would like to see added.
Note:
The IQXP Program will not function with earlier DTN IQFeed clients less than 4.3.x.x in case you have another application running that uses IQFeed. The new DTN client is not backward compatible below v4.3.x.x. Version 4.5.0.3 is the latest version.
